// about me

A new developer, building in the open

I'm Derrick Owusu, a full stack developer at the start of my journey. I work across the whole stack — crafting interfaces with React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and standing up the backends behind them with Express and PostgreSQL.

I'm hands-on, a fast learner and adapt seamlessly to change. Every project is a chance to get sharper at writing clean code, structuring data well, and making things that feel good to use. I'm also exploring generative AI and how it can make applications smarter and more helpful.

When something breaks, I want to understand exactly why — that curiosity is what got me into this field, and it's what keeps me here.
